home-like community for growing

Kamukoti Arabia is a nature-oriented, bilingual daycare that focuses on strength-based pedagogy. It is situated in a serene nature area in Toukola, Helsinki. This strategic location provides us with a significant advantage in our educational approach. We frequently engage in outdoor activities, nature trips, and urban farming, fostering a strong bond with nature. Learn more about Kamu's emphasis on nature!

Both Finnish and English languages are used in our daily communication and activities, including games, songs, rhymes, stories, role play, and physical activities.

We place emphasis on strength-based pedagogy, wonder-based learning, art and craft, and children's active participation. These elements are crucial in developing children's future skills, such as self-initiative in learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, empathy, and social skills.

Kamukoti Arabia's early childhood education takes into account the individual needs and developmental stages of each child. It is based on the City of Helsinki's early childhood education plan and Kamu daycare's action plan, which have a nature-focused and strengthening pedagogical perspective.

DAYCARE MANAGER Jingjing liu WELCOMES FAMILIES IN THE KAMU COMMUNITY!

Speaks Chinese, English and Finnish.

I have been working as a kindergarten teacher for 15 years. One of my passions is engaging children in arts and crafts activities. I also enjoy taking them outdoors to explore and learn through play. Witnessing the creativity and knowledge that children possess never ceases to amaze me, and I am grateful for the mutual learning experiences we share.

As a manager, my mission is to collaborate with the team to nurture and uncover the unique gifts, talents, and wisdom inherent in each child. We strive to create a safe and developmentally appropriate environment that encourages children to engage in play and learning.

important skills for the future

Our early education is based on a strength-based pedagogy, which emphasizes helping each child recognize and develop their individual character strengths, while also encouraging them to appreciate these strengths in others. Additionally, at Kamu, we prioritize environmental education for children. Our goal is to foster a stronger connection between children and nature, promote responsible behavior in the environment, and guide them toward adopting a sustainable lifestyle.

Children are full of joy

We prioritize teaching the essential skills of today and tomorrow:

Curiosity, Creativity and Compassion

These skills form the foundation of our educational approach.

Nature plays a prominent role in the daily life of our kindergarten, and we actively foster an environment that encourages joy, play, and cooperation.
